Kristin Fisher joined CNN on 20 July 2021 as Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent for Space and Defense Kristin Fisher is a reporter covering everything including NASA to the newly created Space Force as well as commercial space companies as well as space tourism. Kristin, the daughter of NASA astronauts, and also an enthusiastic space lover has spent her entire childhood within the space industry. She worked for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump Administrations. In that period, she also reported on two presidential impeachment trials as well as the 2020 presidential campaign, as well as two administration's efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus. She also went on numerous journeys with the Vice President and President of the United States as well as a secret trip to Afghanistan with former President Donald Trump. Before joining the network in, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up through local TV news markets including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate.
